What is the Society of Emerging Leaders (SEL)?

The Society of Emerging Leaders are passionate and committed to giving, advocating and volunteering for meaningful projects where we can make a difference

Members of The Society of Emerging Leaders (The SEL) are young professionals (in their 20's and 30's) who give $250.00 or more annually to United Way NSV and who want to work to make our community a better place by providing opportunities for education and service that require members to lead. Our Leaders are given the opportunity to make an impact in the Northern Shenandoah community through the following opportunities:

  • On-the-ground volunteerism that promotes long-term community change
  • Networking and social opportunities with a diverse group of young professionals, igniting professional and philanthropic growth

2019-2020 Steering Committee

The Society of Emerging Leaders is lead by a Steering Committee who oversees the development and implementation of the strategic plan and provides support and direction to society. The Steering Committee is made up of SEL members along with the SEL chair.
