2018 Award Winner - Trex Company United Way Team
The Trex Company United Way committee organized employee kickoffs for nearly 600 24/7 employees, raising over $180,000 this year, resulting in a 5% increase over the previous year. The committee facilitated workplace fundraisers and special events ranging from Chili Cook Offs, to balloon pop contests, raising over $17,000 in special events. The Trex United Way Committee also collected some GREAT incentives to increase giving, ranging from furniture, to vacation packages to paid days off! Through all of their efforts, they were able to average a gift of $323.00 per capita! VERY IMPRESSIVE - Securing them the top donating company spot yet again! This hard working team gets creative every year to make a huge impact in our community!

2018 Award Winner - Denise Snapp
Denise has previously volunteered as an Account Executive and has served on Fund Distribution Panels. For the 2017 Campaign, she served as the Major Firms Co-Chair. In this position, Denise recruited account executives and personally followed-up on each assigned account, reporting back to United Way Staff regularly. Denise was instrumental in getting some corporate gifts in her division as well. Denise is always eager to help and jumps in to solve problems right away. Her communication and organization skills helped to raise over $93,000 in the Major Firms Division. Additionally, Denise ran the campaign for City National Bank and increased their workplace campaign by an impressive 92% by her dedication to reaching all employees and special event fundraisers!
Rookie of the Year Award

- Provided a strong leadership role and made a significant in the areas of GIVE, ADVOCATE or VOLUNTEER.
- Demonstrates United Way values in a personal and professional capacity.
2018 Award Winner - Millie Thompson
Millie started the 2017 year on fire, running her United Way workplace campaign for the first time, raising over $10,000 dollars! Millie was incredibly eager to raise awareness in addition to dollars by spearheading the One Black Dress Initiative that raised over $8,000 locally. She also organized five percentage of sales fundraisers at local restaurants, totaling more than $1,000 this year. Millie is always eager to jump in wherever help is needed, from volunteering at Rubbermaid Sales to serving at homeless shelters, she gives a 100% effort to make the community a better place.
