United Way celebrates 75 years of Living United at upcoming Annual Meeting

United Way of Northern Shenandoah Valley will hold their 75th Annual Meeting virtually on February 18th at 12:30p.m.

The event will feature the renaming of the United Way NSV Volunteer of the Year award. For more than 25 years, this award is presented annually to an outstanding local volunteer whose individual commitment to helping others exemplifies the tradition and spirit of caring. The award recognizes: distinguished volunteer service to the community, United Way participation and service, and sustained and prolonged service to helping others. For the first time in the award’s history it will bear the name of a previous Volunteer of the Year winner and will honor the long term service and memory of an important and influential member of the United Way family.

United Way will also recognize a local high-school student as the Youth Volunteer of the Year. Three additional awards will be given for the Employee Campaign Coordinator of the Year, Campaign Volunteer of the Year, and Rookie of the Year.
The event will also include recognition and thanks to outgoing board members, as well as the induction of new board members to United Way of Northern Shenandoah Valley’s Board of Directors.

United Way NSV will also announce the grand total of 2020 fundraising campaign to the public.
