Empowering Northern Shenandoah Valley: United Way's 2024-2025 Community Impact Grant Program

In an ongoing effort to address the critical needs of communities in the Northern Shenandoah Valley, the United Way of Northern Shenandoah Valley (UWNSV) is once again extending an invitation to local nonprofits to participate in the 2024-2025 Community Impact Grant Program. With a focus on health, education, and financial stability, this initiative aims to allocate resources where they're most needed, as determined through a thorough Community Needs Assessment process.

2023 ALICE® Awareness Week

This year, United Way of Northern Shenandoah Valley hosted its ALICE® Awareness Week from November 12-19. Numerous organizations, including volunteer and civic groups, contributed this week to help ensure a prosperous and equitable future for our community. Thank you, everyone!

Volunteer Spotlight: Dr. Yolanda Barbier-Gibson

Among our strengths at United Way are the dedicated and passionate volunteers who lend their time, talents, and resources to our work. This month we want to recognize Dr. Yolanda Barbier-Gibson of Shenandoah University. Not only is Dr. Barbier-Gibson the Employee Campaign Manager for SU's workplace donation campaign, but she also serves on the Board of Directors and Chairs the Campaign Committee.
