How to Participate in the 2025 FIRST BANK Pacesetter Campaign
First Bank Pacesetter Campaign with United Way NSV
Why It Matters
At First Bank, we know that strong communities build strong banks. By leading as a Pacesetter in the United Way NSV campaign, First Bank demonstrates that financial leadership is also community leadership. Payroll deduction is simple but powerful: small, regular contributions from employees generate steady, predictable funding that strengthens local families, schools, and nonprofits.
Ways to Give
Employees have multiple options for participating:
✅ Payroll Deduction – The most popular choice. Small, regular amounts are deducted automatically each pay period, making giving simple and budget-friendly.
✅ Credit Card – Employees can pledge online or with a paper form and pay by card.
✅ Check – Attach a check payable to United Way of Northern Shenandoah Valley with your pledge form.
✅ Cash & Special Events – One-time donations through office events, raffles, or fundraisers also count toward First Bank’s total campaign impact.
🎉 Flexible Ways to Participate
Each school or department can decide what works best for your staff:
✔️ Payroll Deduction (the most common and easiest option)
✔️ Staff events – like jeans days, raffles, bake-offs, or lunch fundraisers
✔️ Team giving challenges
Even small donations add up. A $2 gift per paycheck equals nearly $50 for our community by year’s end.
🧡 Your Participation Matters
Whatever approach your team takes, it sends a strong message:
FIRST BANK invests in the community that invests in our region!
Thank you for being a campaign leader in your school — and for helping keep this tradition of giving strong and vibrant across all First Bank Locations.

📥 Campaign Materials for Your Use
To help you run your school’s internal campaign, United Way provides everything you need:
- ✅2025–2026 Pacesetter Campaign Guide
- ✅ Building-Level Envelope Verification Sheet (To be used as the cover of our older envelopes)
- ✅ Special Event Cash/Check Tracking Sheet (for raffles, lunches, etc.)
These documents include step-by-step instructions on how to run a campaign and how staff can complete their United Way pledge online. We also have other helpful items for your campaign:
💻 Use the Online Pledge Form
We strongly encourage all FIRST BANK employees to use the secure online pledge form instead of the paper triplicate forms used in past years. It’s fast, accurate, and easy to track — no paper, no copies, just a few clicks. I would recommend the person making the pledge shares this with the building level coordinator; the FIRST BANK coordinator will get a copy of this from our CRM.
